Equity release options
There are many types of equity release available, which our team can advise you on. These are:
- Lifetime mortgages. This allows you to take a lump sum loan, with your house as security. No repayments are required, and when the house is sold, the proceeds are used to pay off the loan and any interest accrued.
- Interest-only equity release. This is similar to a lifetime mortgage, except you will make regular repayments to pay interest. This reduces the amount that has to be paid when the house is sold.
- Home reversion. This involves selling a portion of your home to an equity provider. You can continue to live in the house rent-free. When the house is sold, the equity provider will receive a portion of the proceeds, equal to their share.
