Shannon joined the firm in November 2018 as a first response call handler in the pre-lit department.  She was the first contact of all new clients coming into the pre-lit department.  Shannon would obtain details from the clients and allocate the claims to the Paralegals within the department to deal with.  Shannon then trained in source management, where she was responsible for reviewing cases on a weekly basis and assessing prospects for payment, alongside providing the sources with updates on the present position of their claims.

Shannon has recently progressed to claims handling where she is the primary source of contact for her clients.  She requires to liaise with clients, insurance companies, solicitors and sources of business.  Shannon requires to review each case, assess prospects of success and communicate this to the client.   Shannon is responsible for taking detailed statements from her clients in order to identify the relevant heads of claim.

Thereafter Shannon will instruct the relevant reports/evidence in order to support the claim, such as consistency reports, medical experts, and liability reports.   If a settlement is not reached pre-litigation, Shannon prepares the file for litigation.
