Ruth McIntosh

Ruth is an Associate Solicitor within our litigation team and leads our Pre-Litigation team.

Since 2010 Ruth has specialised in pursuing and defending personal injury work arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, medical negligence claims and industrial diseases.

Prior to joining Jones Whyte Ruth worked in-house for one of the UK’s leading insurers which gives her the advantage of seeing claims from both pursuer and defender perspectives.

Ruth has experience in all types of court actions from Simple Procedure to All Scotland Personal Injury Court (ASPIC) and Court of Session. Ruth has conducted many proofs on both liability and quantum.

In June 2022 Ruth became a Law Society Certified Specialist in Essential Business and Leadership. The skills and tools learnt from this course enhances Ruth’s leadership skills and has provided new ways in which to develop our people.

In addition to managing the pre-litigation department, Ruth is also Chair of the firm’s Wellbeing Committee which is constantly thinking of ways to improve the well-being of the firm.
