Rory Borthwick

Rory joined Jones Whyte in June 2021 after having completed the third year of the Scots LLB at the University of Glasgow. Initially, Rory was placed in the Estate Planning department, tasked with helping the department manage the significant amounts of paperwork brought about by the firm’s acquisition of McClure solicitors.

Currently, Rory is working within Trust Management, helping to register our clients’ trusts with HMRC in compliance with the recently implemented money laundering regulations. Additionally, Rory is responsible for overseeing the indexing and storage of any wills prepared by Estate Planning, ensuring that these are safely secured within our storage facility.

Rory has since graduated from Glasgow University and will begin the Diploma in Legal Practice in September.
