Rebecca is a Litigation Paralegal. She joined Jones Whyte in January 2023 after spending 17 years with her previous firm, the majority of which was dealing with road traffic accidents claims and court actions. Rebecca has been handling a busy caseload of RTA claims – both PI and ULR – claims for about 14 years, and for about 8 of these also dealt with litigated actions – both Summary and Ordinary Cause. After a few years of dealing with litigated matters, Rebecca carried out her Civil Paralegal Qualification passing this in 2020.
Rebecca’s day-to-day work with Jones Whyte is to progress claims which includes maintaining relationships with clients and sources of business. This also requires corresponding with different insurance and accident management companies. Within her role dealing with pre and post litigated work, Rebecca requires to assess prospects and communicate this to both the client and referrer. Rebecca is also responsible for assessing all heads of claim and valuing them in order to intimate the third party and/or their solicitors. Rebecca requires to keep in regular contact with the clients and ensure they are aware of all the losses they can claim and know what will happen next with their claim.
