Rachel is a Paralegal within the Medical Negligence Department. She started with the firm in May 2017 as a Legal Secretary. In June 2018 Rachel progressed to Personal Injury Case Handler and was responsible for her own caseload. Due to Rachel’s interest in this area of law, she went on to gain her formal Paralegal qualification in Reparation Law in January 2021.
The majority of Rachel’s caseload is comprised of personal injury and uninsured loss claims arising from road traffic accidents. She also has experience in dealing with and investigating Occupiers Liability claims. Rachel’s day-to-day work consists of providing clear and consistent communication with insurers, solicitors and clients.
Rachel is required to investigate liability and quantum and advise clients with regard to prospects of success. Rachel has experience in taking Police Precognitions, instructing the relevant medical experts, assessing loss of earnings and instructing engineers in cases where damage is disputed. Rachel also deals with credit hire claims. This requires her to collate, review and assess the documentation and thereafter advise the credit hire company on the likelihood of success.
Rachel prides herself on being organised, and professional, her keen attention to detail and being a team player. Her most rewarding part of the job would be building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring the best settlement is achieved.
