Jonathon is a trainee solicitor in the Trust Management department. Before doing law, Jonathon’s first degree was in management with marketing, followed by a masters in accounting. However, when COVID-19 hit, he decided that this career path wasn’t for him. He subsequently returned to university to undertake a fast track law degree at Strathclyde, before completing the diploma at Glasgow.
The majority of his work involves dealing with clients who had set up Trusts with McClure solicitors. Given that this is often the first contact many of the clients have had with our firm, it is important to make them feel comfortable. Jonathon previously worked in sales, selling corporate hospitality packages to business owners on the phone, so being on the phone is something he has experience with.
Jonathon is involved in talking clients through their Trust Management options step by step, through one to one appointments, discussing in detail his recommendations going forward.
“The most rewarding part of my role is being able to help clients by answering their questions and advising them in such a way that they feel their Trust is secure and in good hands, and they feel confident with their decision to come to Jones Whyte.”
