Ross Ward

Trainee Solicitor
Qualifications: B.A., L.L.B, DPLP Joined Jones Whyte: 2021
0800 292 2037 West George Street

Born in Sri Lanka and raised in Canada, Ross followed an unconventional path toward a Scottish legal career. As a youngster he was a keen actor, appearing in a handful of professional productions on the Toronto theatre scene. He moved to Glasgow in 2014 after graduating from McGill University in Montreal with a degree in history. A spell working in public relations was followed by a three-year career teaching English in Southern Spain, soaking up the language and culture.

In 2019, Ross fulfilled a childhood ambition by embarking on the study of law. He found himself in his element at the University of Edinburgh Law School, where he excelled academically and at legal debating.

Ross is thrilled to have found a home at Jones Whyte, where he greatly enjoys helping clients to achieve just compensation for injuries suffered through clinical negligence. He is constantly learning from talented colleagues who are devoted to their clients’ interests, communicate plainly, and can cut through jargon and factual complexity to get to the nub of an issue.

Outside of work he frequently appears at 5-aside football, alongside his Jones Whyte colleagues. He plays guitar, loves a classic film noir and is partial to a bit of hillwalking.
