Sonia Malia

Sonia is a paralegal within the pre-litigation department. Sonia started with Jones Whyte Law in April 2022 and has 8 years of experience working with personal injury claims predominantly arising from road traffic accidents. Prior to dealing with personal injury claims, Sonia completed her LLB Law course at the University of West of England and thereafter completed her Paralegal course.

On a daily basis, Sonia is the primary source of contact for her clients.  She requires to liaise with clients, insurance companies, solicitors and sources of business.  Sonia requires to review each case, assess prospects of success and communicate this to the client.   Sonia is responsible for taking detailed statements from her clients in order to identify the relevant heads of claim.

Thereafter Sonia will instruct the relevant reports/evidence in order to support the claim, such as consistency reports, medical experts, and liability reports.   If a settlement is not reached pre-litigation Sonia prepares the file for litigation.  Sonia also has experience in dealing with credit hire claims.

Sonia’s most rewarding part is being able to provide a high-quality service to her clients and obtaining high settlements.
