Sarah Shaw

Sarah studied Law at the University of Glasgow and graduated with a 2:1 (Honours) degree before going on to complete the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde.

Sarah started her legal career with a law firm on a 6-month probation period, before securing and completing a traineeship there. Sarah became a fully qualified solicitor in July 2020. During her time at this firm Sarah worked in their Bathgate office and her workload comprised all aspects of Private Client including Estate Planning, Wills, Power of Attorney, Advance Directives and Executries.

Sarah is currently undertaking the STEP Diploma which is a globally recognised qualification for expertise in the area of Trusts and Estates. Sarah has already achieved distinction level at her first two assessments of Wills and Executries and Trusts.

Sarah said “The most rewarding part of my role is the ability to help people at a time when they need it most. Going through an illness or a bereavement may be the most difficult period of a client’s life. Having the knowledge and ability to make a practical difference and support them at this time is really important to me.”
