Michael is a Partner and Solicitor Advocate. He has overseen a period of significant growth as head of the Personal Injury team.
Michael is a Solicitor Advocate which means he can appear at the highest courts in Scotland. He specialises in acting for clients in claims for damages arising from personal injury or professional negligence.
Michael has also represented clients in Fatal Accident Inquiries, Local Authority Licensing Committee hearings, Taxi and Driver Licence Appeal proceedings, Traffic Commissioner hearings, Industrial Injuries Appeal Tribunal hearings, Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeal Tribunal hearings and in the defence of criminal cases in both the Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Courts.
Michael is accredited by the Law Society as a specialist in personal injury law and a member of the Law Society’s Pursuer’s Panel as a solicitor with expertise in dealing with professional negligence claims.
He is a key part of the successful team which led to Jones Whyte winning both the Scottish Legal Awards and Law Awards of Scotland ‘Firm of the Year’ in 2021 and to its continuing success as one of Scotland’s fastest growing law firms.
