Gillian Cogan

Gillian has been working in the Legal Sector for over 20 years and has been with the firm of Jones Whyte since 2017.  Within her previous role, she was Client Relationship Manager for Legal Services to the largest Banks in the UK.

Gillian has a wealth of experience in Conveyancing, Operations, Client Relationship Management, Change Management and Business Development.  Gillian is also a Certified Risk Manager by the Law Society of Scotland and Data Protection Officer and handles all aspects of this within the firm.

“The firm has changed substantially since I joined in 2017 and there have been many challenges along the way as the firm has grown from strength to strength and increased in size considerably. It has been very rewarding to be an integral part of the growth of the firm over the last few years.  My previous experience and that of my current role is extremely varied which I love and means I am exposed to many different areas of the business which I can work with closely to deliver value.

I am passionate about organisation, systems/processes and the client journey and these are ongoing projects that I work on daily.  This ensures we are constantly improving our internal procedures to provide all clients with a professional and personal experience every step of the way.   In addition to this, I am responsible for Risk, Compliance and Anti Money Laundering across the firm.
