Cameron, Partner in our Family Law Department, advises on all aspects of family law including financial provision on separation, divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, cohabitation disputes and cohabitation agreements.

Cameron also advises on Adults with Incapacity law and all matters of child law.

Furthermore, Cameron has extensive experience in adoption/permanence order cases. He regularly appears in Sheriff Courts and instructs Counsel in the Court of Session.

The ability to alleviate the stress of his clients is one of Cameron’s greatest qualities. He has recently also  completed the Trauma Informed Lawyer Certification Course offered by the Law Society of Scotland. This course has equipped Cameron with invaluable insights to effectively assist clients during their challenging times.

Cameron prides himself on his ability to provide clear and straightforward advice to clients so that they know exactly what their next steps are and the strategy going forward, keeping them abreast of the situation at all times. Our clients regularly note the excellent rapport Cameron curates and they value his counsel, support and proactive communication during stressful and difficult periods of their life.

A member of the Family Law Association, Cameron is also trained in collaborative law and a member of Consensus. Cameron has also undertaken his Core Mediation Training, accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Family Law and is working towards becoming an Accredited Family Law Mediator.

Cameron is also appointed as an independent Curator ad litem Reporting Officer for Permanence Orders and Adoption Applications as well as a Curator ad litem Reporting Officer for adoption applications

Cameron comfortably deals with niche and complex issues in a wide variety of Family Law cases in particular financial provision upon divorce cases and is highly skilled at dealing with contentious and high-conflict child-related matters.

Moreover, as a trained Collaborative Law Solicitor, Cameron’s approach is to try and resolve matters sensibly and cost-effectively with minimal cost and stress for clients. If matters cannot be addressed by negotiation/communication, Cameron is a highly skilled litigator who can and will take matters through Court if that is in the client’s best interests.
