Brian Smith

Brian joined Jones Whyte in March 2023 after spending 7 years working at another law firm, pursuing PI claims and recovering uninsured losses following RTAs. Prior to that, he worked for 12 years at an insurance company, initially as an underwriter and later as a claims handler, assessing personal injury and credit hire claims.

Day to day, Brian is his clients’ point of contact for their claim, and liaises with them, our sources, insurers and solicitors to obtain the appropriate reports and statements to assess the prospects of success and the value of their claim, before negotiating the best possible settlement for the client.  In cases where settlement hasn’t been achieved, he quantities the heads of claim to prepare the file for litigation.
