Anna obtained her LLB in Scots and English Law and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde before joining the firm in May 2021.
For the first year of her traineeship, Anna worked in our bereavement team within our Private Client Department. She helped individuals and families with their succession plans and the administration of trusts and estates.
Anna enjoyed a high level of responsibility during the first year of her traineeship as she was given a full caseload. This allowed her to have a significant amount of direct client contact and helped her to develop her case-management skills. Anna developed knowledge of dealing with complex trusts and estates and she took an active approach to technical tax planning issues that she was presented with.
Anna is currently completing the second year of her traineeship within our litigation department. Anna works closely with the solicitors dealing with personal injury claims including those that arise from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, accidents in public places and fatal accidents.
Anna has experience in taking precognitions from clients and witnesses and drafting court documents. Anna is looking forward to making her first appearance in Court within the coming months.
For Anna, the most rewarding part of her role is being able to help clients and offer practical and clear solutions at potentially difficult times.
