Owned a Diesel Car? You Could be Entitled to Claim Compensation

August 21, 2020 Diesel Emissions

If you or someone you know has purchased or leased a diesel Mercedes-Benz vehicle, then you could be one of the thousands of drivers in Scotland eligible to join our group action and claim emissions compensation, at no cost to you. However, time is running out to join, with the deadline approaching.

Officials in the United States have discovered that some of the biggest and best-known car manufacturers in the world have been fitting their cars with software known as “cheat” or “defeat” devices. These devices automatically switch the car to a low emissions mode during testing, ensuring that they pass EU Emissions Regulations tests.

As such, we believe these companies have misled customers about the levels of emissions their vehicles produce and are currently pursuing group claims against Mercedes-Benz to recover emissions compensation for affected drivers.

Am I Eligible to Join the Group Action?

You may be eligible to join the claim if:

  • You owned or leased a Mercedes-Benz?
  • Your car had a diesel engine
  • Your car was manufactured between 2008-2018
  • You acquired your car by way of lease or outright purchase (new or second hand)

If the answer to each of these is yes and you are interested in joining our claim against Mercedes-Benz at no cost to yourself, click here to fill in our online enquiry form.

Upon successful completion of our online enquiry form that’s it – Our expert team will take care of the rest, checking whether your vehicle is eligible to join the claim and keeping you updated throughout proceedings.

Final eligibility will be determined based on confirmation of the validity of your claim.
