2 Key Promotions at Scotland’s Law Firm of the Year

As part of our continued growth and following the winning of two Scottish Law Firm of the Year awards in 2021, Jones Whyte have today announced the promotion of 2 key members of staff, with Nick Hay and Ross Anderson both being promoted to the position of Partner.

One of our longest serving employees, Nick started his Traineeship with Jones Whyte in 2014, shortly after the firm’s inception. Since qualifying in 2016 Nick has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in dealing with all types of residential and commercial conveyancing, leading to his promotion to Associate in March 2020. Today, Nick is an integral part of our Property & Conveyancing team and has played a significant role in developing the department into one of the country’s leading conveyancing providers.

Ross Anderson joined Jones Whyte in April 2021 following the administrationof McClure Solicitors, having worked there for 7 years, progressing his way up to Associate. Possessing considerable knowledge and experience of both Scottish and English Trust Law, Ross recently became dual qualified as a solicitor in both jurisdictions.

Ross Anderson has been an invaluable asset to Jones Whyte in managing a challenging transition for both former clients and staff of McClure, as well as being key to our strategy in developing our own Private Client service offering. Ross complements sound technical ability with great managerial and leadership skills and has been a fantastic addition to our team.
